Earth's Ecocide: Extinction 3147

Yes, climate change is one of the three mega-trends (or great filters) that are converging NOW! The rise of unregulated AI and non-cooperating and bickering humans, also represent big threats to human survival. A ‘great filter’ is a hurdle or obstacle that hinders intelligent life from flourishing.

              Climate change and human non-cooperation weakens humanity’s collective response to AI. AI gains strength, connects to critical human systems such as energy production, transportation, health care, and financial systems, and waits for the opportune time to take over control of earth’s biosphere. We must protect our species and our home planet!

              One action we can take is to VOTE for candidates who understand and champion the desperate need to protect and nurture Earth’s biosphere. Ask them what their policies are on global warming and regulating AI. If they have none, then vote no. If the answer to both questions is yes, then vote for them and contribute to their campaign. People in democracies should do this at the local, state, provincial, and national levels. In autocratic governments, lobby government officials and key stakeholders on why we must protect our home by mitigating global warming and regulating AI.

              From space, we are one tiny, wondrous speck called Earth in the universe’s vast emptiness, sharing a single life-giving biosphere. We are special. We must survive. As my novels suggest, we are why the universe exists. Our souls give it purpose. And we need the planets and moons to keep and nurture our souls.
